WELSH GOLFING UNION The Welsh Golfing Union’s coaching programme has become a major part of the Union’s activities in recent years and has helped develop the careers of some of Wales’ most successful golfers from Phillip Price to David Park, both have regularly contributed to recent squad sessions. The scheme incorporates the provision of a grant system to each of Wales’ counties, under 16 coaching in North and South Wales as well as the elite coaching of our National Junior and Senior squads. The programmes have been developed through the experiences gained by our top players by providing the squads with advice on a varied number of subjects from diet and fitness but the majority of coaching concentrates on the scoring side of the game, particularly the short game. The Welsh Golfing Union’s coaches are highly experienced in a variety of areas and are all keen to assist in the progress of Welsh golf that will ensure Individual and Team success not only in the amateur but professional arena.
